Adding doujinshi/artbook questions
I've seen few doujinshis as well as artbooks in database so i was wondering few things
-
How to name doujinshi releases correctly. I've seen "Fandom DJ - Name of the DJ" i've seen the reversed system as well. and what about original doujinshis? or sould we just add a name and than write in profile that this is doujinshi and of which fandom? (i'd also like to refer to artbooks with this question)
-
Is even allowed to add artbooks? i've seen just a couple of them (not a lot at all). And if it is allowed how come there is only few of them? is there a "if they have been scanlated you can add them" rule or something?
-
What to do if you know that certain artbook was scanned by a foreigner groups? Since most of artbooks have no text what so ever is it OK to place those in "Groups Scanlating" field? I'm asking this mostly for when non of the English groups scanned the artbook.
-
Novels scans. There is a few groups (i have to admit that i know only of foreigner groups that actually do this -.-) that sacn some novel pictures that were done by some mangakas that have their profile here. Is it OK to add them as well? and if yes id like to have the answer on first question regarding novels as well.
Thank you for your time and your answers :3

[series] dj - [name of dj] and nothing under the [Chapter] field
We only allow a small number of old doujinshi groups label them as [series] - [name of dj] and "Doujinshi" under the [Chapter] field
If it's an original doujinshi, as in it's not based off of any series, then we just label them as oneshots. That would be just [name of dj] in the [Title] field and "Oneshot" in the [Chapter] field. -
We only allow art books that come from manga/anime series. Give the name of the series in the [Title] field and put "Artbook" in the [Chapter] field. It must be an official art book and not some fan thing...
-
We would prefer them to be from actual scanlation groups that translate into English and do other things besides art books
-
If it's a novel written by a mangaka or a novel based off of an anime/manga series, then we permit you to add English translations on this site. Just look at Baka-Tsuki's release entries for examples on how to add those. The series name needs to have "(Novel)" at the end of it.

Ok thank you for the answer

But what about compilation artbooks?
I'd like to expand Chrono Nanaes profile and she released 2 artboooks (officially) Kurono no ga (which is 95% only about Peace Maker/Kurogane so i could put it under one or another) - but i don't know of any group that officially released this artbook (since there is no comments in the artbook so no translation is needed) but scans can be found pretty much everywhere >.<
And Chronografiti which is half about Senki Senki Momotama and half about Vassalord. (ok there are 4 pictures that don't belong to any of those), so what to do with this one?... though there is no group that released it yet (pretty much for the same reason as Kurono no Ga).
Anotehr thing, what if artbook was released as doujinshi artbook but all the pictures in there are based on officially released series. Kouga Yun released ASIA as doujinshi artbook and in there you can find pictures from almost all of her series that were released until than(Earthian, Genji, Yousei Jiken, Gestalt, Ren Ai, Alise in Wonderland, Laura Kaiser, Kodomotachi wa Yoru no Juunin, Kiga Ichizoku) -
but its not forbidden right? And what if they are planing to go English as well? or what if the project page of artbook is in english for this purpose (i've seen some german groups releasing speechless/wordless one-shots/artbooks with credit pages in both german and english while the rest are only in german, for example).

to be more precise i not talking about translations but illustrations that can be found in novels.
Leru dream (Russian group XD) has a few like this
http://lerudream.com/manga_novels.htm
and in those zip file are only pictures, so can we add those or there must be a translation for novels before even thinking of adding novels?
Yes i know i'm complicating stuff but i'd like to know and help since there is a lot of people relying on this site when looking for new stuff from certain authors (or even what to buy next <.<)

You really got too much "what if" questions...
Due to all this question asking, I'm gonna put my foot down. That means you can ignore some of my previous response as it won't apply anymore.
This is a manga scanlation site, not an art book site. If the art book is being distributed by an English scanlation group that has previous scanlation releases, then you can add the art book release here on this site, as long as the art book is based off an official anime/manga series. Also, it must be an officially released one and not some doujinshi. If it was made as a doujinshi but by the same author as the series it's based off of, that's alright. If the art book in question contains 2+ series in it, then you may label it as the following: [Name of art book (Art book)] in the title field and nothing in the [Chapter] field (sorta like how to announce novels on this site).
Everything must be done by an English group. The reasoning behind this is that all these foreign language sites are hard to navigate through for the typical user, so even if there's a single webpage of full English, I'm rejecting it. And I'm putting my foot down on novel illustrations. Unless the text is also translated, none of that stuff.
