when the uke (and yes i choose to use that word, since its easier to describe the character like that then saying "smaller, teary-eyed, girly-looking guy" 🤣 ) eats overly sweet cake and ice cream all the time.

i use "seme" and "uke" because everyone reading yaoi(and most people who is active on MU) knows the sterotypical character you are talking about 🤣 lets just face it, yaoi will never become realistic, its a fantasy and thats why people read it 😛

I've only seen one uke eating sweets all the time in a Minami Haruka manga. Didn't know there were so many of them around. Maybe that's because I am quite picky with the titles I read. 🤣

Well, it doesn't have to be realistic. Not many manga titles are realistic no matter what genre they are. But why do many of them have to be so cliched, blatant and dull? I wouldn't think it's difficult to write stories where the guys can be seme and uke and still being a fantasy.

Second: the girly personalities, it's like it's not even yaoi anymore

Third:The uke is very weak and doesn't know how to fight back~blah

Fourth and the most important: I seriously don't like the whole meeting for the first time and having sex right there! [unless it's forceful sex and the seme is really sexy and hot!![ Viewfinder] XD other than that, it's not realistic or good enough, c'mon man you gotta be hard to get, that sets everything else in fire~

I actually don't mind the meeting-for-the-first-time-and-having-sex thing. Lots of straight people do that. I like it in Breath where the guy meets a drunk one in a gay bar and has sex with him.

I seriously hate the seme from Viewfinder. No, he's not hot at all. 😔 I wanted the uke to end up with Feilong but it seems impossible. That's why I never liked that story much. Why in a lot of yaoi do the uke always end up with the first guy he has sex with? And he's usually raped or threatened/blackmailed. This is such a cliche. >:-(

the bed scenes where they ask do u love me or confess their love why is it during the bed scenes ..i dont find that romantic

It really bugs me. One of the worst yaoi cliches ever! It's OK if they use only once or twice, or make the seme melt at a pushy uke instead (with development to back up of course). But when it happens too often without any reason, it becomes very annoying. 😔

I hate the "You were trained well." and "Thanks to my training you can't do it with noone else anymore." stuff. That always feels to me like those mangaka have read too many dog training books >______>
