Not really, seems Ōmaeda (who is a Vice-Captain of the elite Gotei 13) comments here that if they destroy all the pillars, the fake Karakura will vanish.

And why would you leave three pillars completely vulnerable, while just shielding one? Wouldn't it be more wise to protect all of them. It's a really natural decision for us humans to take.

Gonna take an economical standpoint on this, but you wouldn't let three of your companies just go bankrupt while only investing in one. It improves your chances to invest in all of them.

And Hisagi's demeanor was cool, and I like his Shikai. Seems really versatile, and unpredictable for the enemy to determine where it'll go.

Well either way I doubt seriously Ikkaku is dead. No one ever dies in Bleach (we already talked about this 😁 ). I agree with Dr. Love. I think this will greatly improve the storyline. While you don’t want anyone to lose it makes for a better manga if someone does. But obviously anyone from the 11th squad was a bad choice to be watching these “oh so important” pillars if they refuse to use kidou, but that’s another story. Ikkaku’s not dead, he refused to use his Bankai that’s why he lost, and the illusion is most likely not gonna fall. But it would make for a better storyline if it did. 😃

Some people are like slinkies, not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs. 🙂

Who else do we have coming to the War though? There's the old Captains (Vizards), Ichigo team and 3 new captains in Hueco playing clean up. But I think for the finale for all of this Isshin and Ryuken are gonna show up? Oh snap! What about Uruhara shop and crew, and were is Yoruichi? And what about Keigo, Mizuiro, and Tatsuki 😕
Maybe they all became Shinigami?

why do i have the feeling that the reason the pillar was destroyed is because Ikkaku was half-assing his job. 🤣 we all know for a fact that he doesn't want anyone to see him unleash his Bankai. so does anyone else think he lost cause he purposely handicapped himself?

I think its possible that he released his bankai and lost, the arrancar could have thrown in one especially powerful one in along with the other three and it was ikkaku's bad luck that he got landed with the strong one. I find it interesting that the arrancar that ikkaku was fighting doesn't seem to have released his true form yet...maybe he released and reverted back to normal but it would be more interesting if he beat ikkaku in just his normal form.

Its Bleach... he's not dead. If you're a good guy in Bleach, you can get decapitated and in the next issue it'll be like, "He almost died but the 4th division came and now he's totally healed."

Plus, Ikkaku can't lose. Nobody can lose. They gave every gimpy loser character a win and its been a cakewalk for everyone over all.

Ever since that filler episode where they had Ikkaku fighting Kenpachi, i've been like a really big fan of his. He's not defeated. Of all the characters who have beaten people, I can't imagine how the best fighter and strongest person could have lost against Aizen's Clown Squad aka the Fraccion/Espada.

i don't think he released it at all, since we all know he doesn't like anyone else to know bout his Bankai. and with all those Captains around him i think it's possible he just fought him in a handicap. which is probably why he lost. then again all the other guys were winning with their Shikai forms so i guess it's not really much of an excuse.

Good observation, I didnt notice that.
Definitely no bankai yet.

On a related topic - there is just too many good guys for the bad guys to win.
The Vizard crew haven't even joined up yet... not to mention Urahara/Yoruichi and Ichigo's dad...
Plus, seeing how Ukitake and Shinsui haven't even shown their bankai yet they are probably the strongest of the captain, so its hard to think they would lose, especially judging by the Espada's track record.
Oh and I really can't see the captain commander loosing with his shikai, let alone bankai.
I mean he frigin uses his shikai to close off Aizen and crew...thats gotta account for something if Aizen is havin trouble gettin out.

I wouldn't assume anything about power levels in Bleach outside of Gotei 13 > any bad guy. I'm pretty sure the Espada will land some early hits because they have abilities that nobody can predict. Once their powers are understood, Captains will go Bankai and the fight ends within 2 pages.

From what we have observed so far, Captains far surpass even the Espada. Don't forget that there are 4 espada that have already fallen, and Ulquiorra isn't even there as of yet, so he's essentially out of the equation.

The full extent of 10 of the captain's strengths are not known, including Aizen and co.

Either way, this should be interesting.

And Mr. Captain Commander is also over the top strong.
