First I had my doubts about this anime.. But it turned to be really good.. What especially attracts me are not the riddles, but more the humor in this.. laugh

I love it when Yako is being forced in doing something by Neuro.. What I'm also am interested about, is the riddle behind the supposed suicide of Yako's father..

Characters I like:

Neuro Nogami.. I really like his crazy personality.. On the outside he looks nice, but against Yako his personality suddenly changes to that of a devil..

Yako Katsuragi.. Is a really funny character.. What I also find funny is her obsession about food and her insatiable hunger.. biggrin

Now, share your thoughts, please.. eyes

It left off on around the end of volume 12, or chapter 100-ish.

I love the series.
But I have to admit, I personally like the anime designs better.
The art for the manga is a bit messy but still a good read of course. (;

MTNN is currently my favourite Manga and it got my attention by the Anime.
Of course, the part about humans turning into beasts when the puzzle is solved is kinda annoying (in fact that's what I hated most about MTNN) but the humor is just great (in the Manga even better than in the Anime cause some of the best gags are missing in the Anime) and the quality of the puzzles is on par with other great detective-animes.

I didn't like the end of the Anime though. It was just like Claymore: When the Anime separated ways with the Manga it started to suck (although the end of MTNN didn't suck as much as in Claymore) and how could they end the Anime just at the point where the Manga gets really interesting?

Btw. The world needs more MTNN-fans. It's such a great Manga but no matter how hard I try, I can't find any other fans to discuss it in the forums I'm normally active and finding a Wallpaper to "Neurolize" my Desktop a little... Impossible. There seems to be not even one decent MTNN Wallpaper on the whole web. -.-

i really liked this anime up untill the very end of episodes.......what's with the villian turning into a monster stuff?....i really hate that, and it seems episodic/monotonous as well....it's a real shame because the characters are so great, as well as the look and humor of the show....only saw 9 episodes, but i'll try the manga if any of that changes......does it?

Good anime, but I've just got to say: it really annoys me when they get to South America and all the people they talk to speak Japanese.

Like, they talk to a policeman in Japanese. And they also hear this guy give a speech in Japanese to a largish crowd of South Americans, who all understand him perfectly. I feel like that's more than a little unrealistic, and it's frustrating when language barriers aren't even addressed.

The anime is okay (in the beginning, but I dislike the total one-eighty they did at the end of the series, if they pick it up for another season, I have a feeling they are going to have to butcher it more, so that it'll follow their first butchering), but I like the manga way, way, way better.
Recently, vizanime.com picked it up [the anime, obviously], and on one of their posts News/Blog, they stated that if they got enough people who faved it, then they will pick up the manga!
That makes me happy, and yet sad, considering that you can just bat an eye and that glimmer of hope could disappear. (So yeah, if you really want them to license the manga, make sure to sign up at fave it --You have to be a member, I tried it before I made an account too, it didn't work :/.)

I think I get the people turning into monsters part, although it sort of bothers me too... Human's are animals, thus they can't become fully tame. Each have traits that make them dangerous "lust, hate, averice, and jealousy." Look just beneath the surface and you will find an ugliness that rivals even the most savage of beasts. (This is semi-quoted from the manga Pet Shop of Horrors by the way). This manga really does a good job in showing this, but it makes me wonder if the other characters can see the criminals looking like monsters or if it is just what the characters at the time are imagining. Guess i'll never truly know now will I ^^
