Any one else think that the last few volumes were a lil well.... retarded? like the manga just transformed from being a light harted harem comedy/romance manga with some action to being a action manga with almost no romance and comedy with a bunch of technical and complicated things in it.

but even with all the changes it went through i still think it was a great manga ill give it a 8/10 it would have been a perfect 10 for me if it didn't do all those changes and stayed on course.

I thought it was alright in the beginning, nothing special, but not really bad either. I found the last few volumes to be absolutely terrible though- the random plot twists and shift of tone only served to make the manga inconsistent, rather than actually improve the storytelling. The ending felt like a cop out to me too.

3/10. Maybe a 4 or a 5 (the original rating I would give it) if I was a more generous person (I rate things pretty harshly though- a normal person would probably call my 3s and 4s 6s or 7s).

I don't think the plot change near the end was that bad... just rushed.

I thought if it had been 50% of the beginning comedic harem deal and 50% action and whatnot, it'd have been just fine. The story was good, but as was said, definitely rushed.

idk...it was weird...wit half angel and stuff...all the funny comedy stuff was pretty much gone by the last 2 or so volumes and it was all serious savin the world stuff...i liked it but its def. not 10 out of 10...i'd give it 7.6 out of 10 cuz i dont give any ratings below 6...and if i do...i hav to really dislike it

Basically, it was a clever design, nothing more and nothing less. The beginning of a story is meant as an introduction of the setting, you can't go around spewing philosophical phrases without giving basis.

Once the reader gets a hang of the characters, the story stops being so comedy, and becomes more shounen.

Near the end, it's literally forced to take on a serious note, due to the fact that the message meant to be conveyed in this manga could in no way be told if Happy World remained comedy 100% of the time.

So basically...you're complaining that a manga is retarded for doing what it was supposed to do, and was planning on doing. Um... Yeah, sorry, you're wrong.

I've a problem with the ending:

What about Isra? She fused with Elle in Tsukihime-sama who appears at the end?

And another thing, did Takeshi and Elle EVER realize the fact that they're brothers and sisters? Well, at least for me it should have been a great shock, but they never thought about this in the manga (or I just didn't notice they did).

Overall it was not a bad manga, it's just that at least imho there have been too many "changes of genre and mood" and the ending doesn't make much sense. A 7/10 for me 'cause I'm generous.

Intended and planned does not inherently produce quality. Regardless of what the original intention was, the radical shift and rushed ending seemed to make many of us dislike it, which isn't a sign of successful storytelling. Even if it is what it was "supposed to do", then I have to seriously question the author's planning ability and pacing.

Agreed. They could've just as easily started the manga out w/ all the random stuff about angels and shadowmen and all that. But they didn't and I can understand why people are a little disappointed w/ the last few volumes.

I agree 100%.

If Takeshita was going to end Happy World with a huge battle involving a fully-awakened demon destroying the moon and fighting against a group of angels (Involving a half-angel), THEN WHY THE FUCK DID HE START IT OFF AS A HAREM? It seems to me that he ran out of ideas for the harem and couldn't give the harem a good ending, so he decided to make it an seinen by adding demons.

Personally, I think Takeshita should've made it a seinen from the very beginning, because the harem part was done HORRIBLY.
