Another character poll is in the chapter (Haven't seen those in a while), and Sasuke isn't the #1 character! I am honestly shocked by Japan.

And I swear, Kishimoto is toying with people having them go back to the Team 10 vs. Asuma fight only to leave it the very next page...

well i have to admit that the samurai dude is alright. i liked how the fight went, but i guess i'm just in the sword fighting mood after reading OP today and anticipating next weeks chapter, lol.

Not so sure why sasuke is popular in Japan while sasuke is one of the hated character in English fan base.
Well another one page fight, i feel like this is just getting drag so much.

I blame the fangirls for Deidara and Sasori's high rankings on that poll. If we're talking about recently featured characters, Zabuza, Haku, and Kushina (especially Kushina) deserved better rankings, in my opinion.

As for Sakura and Sasuke, my theory is they get default votes--Sakura simply for being the main female, and Sasuke for being the series bastard (every shounen manga has one); that fact alone is practically a guarantee he'll get a top 3 finish, whatever we might think of him.

Anyway, Kishimoto should quit with the cereal box philosophizing. All that stuff on "peace" and "faith" was tedious. However, I'm glad he finished the fight in a timely manner--and with a minimal amount of flashbacks. (It's Kishimoto; it was too much to hope for that he wouldn't use any.)

Next week: back to Team 10?

I am loving the one chapter fights atm. Feels refreshing.

I wish they would shut up and fight. I'm no war veteran, but I'm pretty sure you won't find time to debate your morals in a heated battle.
