I don't smoke but I used to smoke one or two when I go out with friends who smoke...they make fun of me when I do since I do it the wrong way..they tell me I hold the smoke in for too long or that I exhale like an ashtray...don't really know what they're talking about nor how to do it right 😕

Stopped smoking from one day to the other 8 years ago, after being a heavy smoker for 7 years, because my son was born with two holes in his heart (despite reducing it to nearly zero during pregnancy). I tend to yell at people who carelessly light a cigarette in the present of my children. Got a little shock effect there, I guess.

But I have no problem sitting with smokers in a bar or visiting a friend in his "smokebox" room. The smell doesn't disturb me and I actually don't feel like trying as well. I wouldn't promise that I'll never pick it up again, though. My mother resumed after a long break and I occasionally would like to light one too, so maybe when the kids are grown up and I'm older. We will see >.>

I know it seems careless, but if someone, regardless of who, yelled at me for lighting a cigarette in a clearly legit place, I would yell back...

I usually don't smoke when there are kids around. I know if I had a child and there was someone smoking around them I would get pissed off. So I'll usually go away or something.

Now, if they follow me thats their own problem.

I typically don't do so, as well, but I've been yelled at for smoking in a smoking area when a lady with her kids walked by.

Nope, that's not how I mean it. There are enough people who light cigarettes while sitting together with children in the same room. I can care less what people do outside except when they stand in a way that the smoke will unavoidable hit the children. And smoking area is not a place were i would stand with children in the first place, so no worries 😛
