I agree. I don't know where the author is taking this... but if it ends up having a shitty ending, I'm going to freak out. I've been with the series since the beginning, and I'd be so mad if it gets a rushed, nonsensical ending that the series does not deserve.

They're the dragging the story too much.

I have to disagree. I think Maria is awesome. Her interest in Zero is obviously because of Ichiru, so she's no threat to Yuuki. I feel bad for her. She's grieving for Ichiru and probably sees Zero as a source of comfort since he's also grieving for Ichiru (besides Zero, does anyone in this manga still care about Ichiru?) And yeah, Zero looks like Ichiru and is his brother, so he reminds her of Ichiru. Her actions are understandable.

Plus, she's a help to the story: all of us have been wondering for the longest time what Zero's stance on Yuuki is, and what he thinks of vampires. Finally, Maria comes along and asks him! I don't believe all of Zero's true thoughts have suddenly been cleared up, but it's a step in the right direction. Everything has been dragging since the time skip and the author has done very little character development. (Especially with Yuuki.) At this point, anything that helps us learn about the characters' real thoughts and feelings gets a thumbs up from me. 😛

Exactly! That's what I am afraid of >.>
And if now she'll be with Zero and then when Kaname returns she'll go back to him, I'll just pray that they'll both dump her somewhere into some underground dungeon and we'll never hear of her again...

Sigh... I'm getting kinda depressed, that's why the exaggeration... I guess....
