Hunter x Hunter's Longest Uninterrupted Run to End
This year's 16th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Yoshihiro Togashi is putting his Hunter X Hunter adventure manga on hiatus in the next issue. He had been serializing the manga again since last August. At 30 installments, the most recent run is the longest uninterrupted run of Hunter X Hunter.
The next compiled book volume of the manga, #30, will ship next month. Viz Media published the 27th volume in North America this month.

I knew this was coming but choose to believe, against my better judgement, that the mangaka had finally gathered enough ideas to keep Hunter x Hiatus moving. The plot seemed to be moving at a faster pace, that damned Chimera Ant arc was finally over, Gon met his dad, and most important of all the new anime was well under way.
In fact, because of the new anime I was afraid Hunter x Hunter might be nearing the end like Fullmetal Alchemist did. I didn't want that to be the case because I personally hated the Chimera Ants and 200 chapters (more than half so far) were wasted on them. So yeah... I wonder if there will be a time skip this time around. Hunter x Hunter hiatuses are always so damn long...

Wow. Togashi really knows how to surprise his readers, even if it means he had to break our ne-ECK! 🤢
Really, I hope he'd either really die this time or gathering materials. I'm sick of being patient with this manga (which unfortunately, I cannot let it go either.)
The woman I love, Kozue, burns with jealousy, leaps to conclusions, cries and turns to ice, but when she laughs..the world is mine.

Just like every hiatus before this, it is related to the mangaka's health, NOT his ability to come up with ideas. I guarantee he already has a number of future arcs planned out in that may or may not be realized before his time.

Wow. Just... Wow. I don't even know what to say about a statement as inconsiderate and inhumane as this one. Absolutely ridiculous. You really need a reality check.

Over here we have a saying for things like this: "Te fuiste al re carajo" having a meaning similar to that of "nigga, you just went full retarded".
I expect him to get well soon, the real nature of his sickness has never been made public but i must be pretty serious if after so long he is still in no condition to work on his manga :S
