Checkmate slowly becomes this as the story progresses, from season two onwards. I have a feeling that Guiding Hazard is gonna become like this too. Ignore that review because I swear to god, it is nothing like that. You Get Me Going is also great.
I don't see it as much in manga but if memory serves right, Therapy Game (and its sequel) is like that.
