I had a huge burly beard about 6 months ago until I cross dressed. I also shaved my legs for that one. Right now I have a small one going.

Mustaches and goatees are fine, but I prefer guys without beards. However, since it isn't my face, I really have no say in the matter.

A cute and close cut goatee or natural stubble is about as far as I'll go. I don't like overt facial hair, and (for rather personal reasons) I *hate *mustaches.

My facial hair grows pretty slowly right now, takes about 3 days for a five o'clock shadow to come around, so I only shave when it starts being visible. I also only shave my sideburns on a monthly basis, because they go along nicely with my hair. And when I say sideburns I mean the ones that go almost reach all the way down to where a goatee would be.

Oh, sideburns on the right person, with the right haircut, look really good. I'm all for sideburns.
well I (as a female) do not find beards awesome or sexy. I'm fine with stubble, cause honestly (especially for hairy guys) remaining hairless seems cruel.

Obviously you've never had the pleasure of seeing my masterpiece.

well you see, your beard will never be as awesome as my dad's is so why bother? unless you have a crazy long beard like in MasamiAkane's post, then it's just impractical and a little bit silly.

Pfft, daddy's girl? Whats up with girls comparing every single guy to their dads?
And its not like I submitted my beard for a competition. IMO my goatee looks nice.
It is a masterpiece, created through week's worth of careful grooming!
I'm Rabookal's sister and she is definitely not a Daddy's girl, nor am I. Our dad has an epic beard, and there is no way your "masterpiece" compares.
and as far as I am concerned, I despise beards. I hate the way they look, i hate the way they feel, i hate the very concept of them. "Yes let's hide my beautiful manly chin under disgusting HAIR that will catch food particles and gross things." Yuck! my father chases me around the house with his horrible horrible facial hair and i run away screaming and crying.
the only chin hair i appreciate is stubble, weird semi-beards (like justin timberlake), side burns and civil war esq. master pieces. like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/22/Ambrose_Everett_Burnside.jpg but that is mostly for the lols. ;D
beards are gross. 🤢

hmmm, well iv had a beard for years, though its mostly due to laziness on my part.

I tend to shave every few weeks, usually keep a Goatee.
Guess theyre cool to a point, but to long and its just wild looking. To tidy and its kind off...wierd...

FUCK YEAH, THIS IS MY KINDA THREAD 😎

Right now I'm starting to grow mine out, cause I kept it low like a 5 o'clock shadow for a while now, and I'm tired of shaving. Hopefully I can get it to where mine looks like CM Punk's current one.

Oh lawdie. A beard thread?! 🤣

I wouldn't know the pains of growing a beard, since I am female, but I know stubble is attractive! But a beard... As long as it's not 3in/7.6cm long..

If I knew anyone with a beard, I will touch it. ____

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

Ugh...I feel your pain fr33noob! I just can't be bothered sometimes!

Which is why I'm currently sporting a stubble.
I might shave it off later though...not too sure.

Also, since I practically self taught myself how to shave, is there a way to totally shave off the beard without leaving that "mark" as if you've never had one before? I used to be able to do it but now it's become quite a challenge for me Dx

It could be from what razor you're using, as in how long you've had it/how sharp the blades are.

If not, look at this.

Also, try to shave an area with one past (don't over shave), and like the guide says clean the razor with each stroke.

Edit:
If you want some reading material...
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/6886845/

It suggests a shaving brush and safety razor.
