Would it be possible to use the sites database to create a page on the site that list the manga series with no releases official or not in order of the number of people that have the series on their wish list?

It might help scanlators find a series to work on that has a potential audience but doesn't already have several groups already working on it.

I agree, dunno if Scanlators would pick them because after all if there are no raws available for them, then there is nothing to do.

but would be a very interesting feature indeed

You do know that many groups buy their raws, right?

Anyways, I think it's a good idea.
Though maybe a bit hard/problematic to implement?

is not about buying them, is about finding them.

Old series that are GOOD as hell can be hard to find in the market... that is what I meant >_>

PS: why not add a search option to look for series that have a lot of people wishing for them?, with in turn thanks to the normal genre filters, groups/people would find them more easily.

Since that sounds odd let me rephrase it.

Add a search option to look solely based in series that have been "wish listed" a set number of times and use the normal genre filters to... well filter them >_>

In this way Shojo groups wouldn't need to work very hard looking for the most wished shojos in a sea of Seinen, and vice versa 😉 😃

(a good way to filter Yaoi out of my searchs 😛 )

I'd love a feature like this. It may not directly affect Scan teams, but could give the people who request scans a bigger confidence in what they request.

It would be a good idea. But many people don't have manga they want to read in their wish list (BTW, a lot of wish list titles can be fully scanlated). I saw them in custom named lists, such as "to read", "want", "plan to read", etc. How would you gather data from them?

this seems troublesome. groups are always taking on those sponsored projects. just contact them and let them know what you want. if you contact a bunch of groups, your chances are good

i think this is a useful implementation, and it's not necessarily complicated either....

all we need is an additional sorting option in the series info page that lists the manga by the number of times they showed up in users' reading/unfinished/wish lists, or in another word, list the manga by their popularity (order separately for reading list, unfinished list, and wish list) among the population of BU members

ps: i just realized that there's a "series stats" page....i think that's a good enough feature for scanlators to identify which are the popular manga doted by BU members
