Ok i wanted to start watching the tenchi series, but i dont know where to start

I know there are the OVA's and Tenchi Universe, but which one am i suppose to watch first?

Also what are the Kajishima canon and Hasegawa canon's? do they all deal with the same storyline and where is the 3rd OVA?

Im comfused and i would love it if someone can clear thins up for me.

from what I understand it goes

OVA 1 (Episodes 1-6)
Movie 2 (Daughter of Darkness)
OVA 2 (8-13 (7 is a special))
OVA 3 (Episodes 14-20)
all 3 OVA's suppose to take place in time really close to each other then...
Tenchi Muyo GXP (Set 3 years after OVA 3 and follows a completely different cast)
then Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (a 13 episode OVA which follows Tenchi's half-brother Kenshi and is set 15 years after GXP (and is suppose to have a 2nd season, or so I've heard)).
