There are few people on MU who use proxy servers.
My question:
Why would anybody use proxy on manga website?
a)they are sociopats
b)they are mentaly ill
c)they are paranoid
d)they are goverment dogs sniffing our personal info
e)they think that they are supa´ hacka´
f)they are havoccc

my government sometimes randomly block websites if somebody claims that the website is immoral or unislamic so i have to use them until i or someone else makes a request for unblocking the website

Wow, you really must be uneducated about the internet and restrictions people can put in place or a troll.
That part about the "supa hacka" is very entertaining. I'm sure they refer to themselves as that.
The only answers that you listed that's conceivable is C and D. I doubt mental illness would cause somebody to want to use a proxy. No clue wtf hovoccc is 😕
Say person A lives with the complete asshole: person B (parent, roommate, etc). Person B owns a computer and pays for internet and decides to create a white list so person A can't surf for porn or something. By using a proxy, person A can get to web sites not included on the list (porn, manga, intentional malware downloading, etc.).
Most schools use a black list that they subscribe to some censoring company. They don't always block proxy IP list sites. Easy to bypass black lists. To bypass white lists, you'll need to get a working proxy beforehand. Good networkers will block access to certain internet options.
Another reason would if your government restricts internet access to a certain degree you can use a proxy to surf freely. That, however, could get one in serious trouble.
There are other reasons, but they're more complicated to explain and put in layman's terms and I'm not going to blow my buzz teaching Proxies 101 😛

Without the Paranoia Part, me and people that i know use proxy mostly for three things,
a. Bypassing the Blockade : some ISP block the access to porn that include H-manga and stuff. and sometimes they block some normal website like manga website for the adult content in seinen or josei manga. 🙁
b. Removing Trails : in case that you share your PC with somebody else friends, family and stuff and you didn't want them to know where you went on the internet or you just that petty and didn't wanna people to know where you get your stuff 😀
c. Download Mania : the right Proxy stabilize your download speed, bypass the download limit on your ISP since some ISP give Download Quota before they slow your internet down, or bypass the limit on your online storage service.

My school blocks many, many upon a good site, including manga-reading ones. So everybody just used a program that someone (who shall not be named) made to bypass the district's firewall. There are WAY too many holes in it. 😀

Psk! I'll let you into a little secret. Okay come closer with your ear. The proxy is not for this site, it's for porn, this is just a diversion. Oh and another thing, come a little closer. There is a button that says New poll on top of the forum and guess what it's for? Yep you guessed it correctly it's for making a new poll, maybe you'd like to use it.
