I lost all my stuff in my comp and though i could remeber where to find most of the manga i lost, there was this oneshot that i was unable to find. orz
It was a historical manga (though i couldn't find it in the historical section) and it started of with this dude sending off a crow to get help and the crow didn't return so he sent a dove. I think the artist is also known for being able to draw historicaly accurate uniforms and most of her stories take place during world war 2?

well just looking through the database for yaoi, historical, and oneshot combo's it could be:
Matsugo no Yume
Motte Meisubeshi (something about samurai)
Netsuno Ori (seems to be early 1900's era)
Sanzen Sekai no Karasu wo Koroshi (something with the military)
Semishigure (teacher/student relationship)

the 3rd and 4th is around the WW2 era u mentioned.

Just click "series info" off the right, then scroll to the bottom and click "search by genre" and u can search that way too. good luck. lemme know if you find it.
