Are there still people who are using Limewire out there? I mean some of my friends still do but for those of you who stopped what do you use now as an alternative, and do you think that Limewire was really that big of a problem?

I use torrents for music to see what the albums like, if I like it I'll purchase it through iTunes, if I don't like it I'll just delete it it. I don't use Limewire though, I've heard people say that they've got viruses through it.

Limewire gave me the hives, it was laden with very dubious content and I never found what I was looking for anyway... So I never "used" it, because it was useless to me.

I stopped using limewire in 3rd grade.
I know people who still use it and I tell them not to because you could get viruses but they don't listen...

I usually get my music from torrents/googlesearches/4shared.

Limewire used to be pretty good if you knew how to tell the difference between the real files and viruses. My personal taste in music was influenced a lot by the stuff I was able to find on there and I am glad I used it back then.

Now its just too easy to get anything through much safer means like blogs and torrents.

i have once. then deleted cause it wasn't being used and also because of legal issues limewire were having at that time. I don't really down;ad anything i was try to stream it first.

i still use it and i dont have any problems with it...you just have to know which files are safe.
im actually wary of using blogs and stuff to get music...

Yeah. I've never had problems with it (I use torrents for tv shows/movies), aside from the occasional remix labeled as the regular song. It's just easy to use.

I used Kazaa back in the day. And now I use Soulseek. I rarely use it nowadays

Don't use it, haven't in years. I download from youtube with dirpy, or torrents. If I'm really desperate, and neither youtube or like, the pirate bay has the song I want, I'll use audacity and record from playlist.com.

I used to use this and Frostwire, but like other people said on here sometimes the files would either be a virus in disguise, or a porn video (And it's usually the disgusting shock ones).

I just use Bittorent now. Hasn't failed me once.
