Even VK is overrated.
I wouldn't say that Kyoko and all of her demons and hatred are 'shoujo-ish' or cliched, at least, not the way they are shown. Just my opinion, of course. I would also say that the main girl in love moster is treated pretty badly and the whole thing is...well, more cliched than Skip Beat.
I chose Skip beat. It's funny and not cliched, and the thing that I really like about is Kyoko not suddenly changing her personality to suit the whims of the author and to fit in romantic scenes. Haven't read the latest chapters though, so this is based on the early - up to 148 - chapters.
I would agree VK is over rated, not that I read much of it.

I picked high school debut, but seriously considered skip beat too.
As for VK... uh, I like the art? I do think it is way overrated too.

Skip Beat. It's one of my favorite manga in general, and everything else in the poll I either hate (Vampire Knight) or I've never heard of.

I love most of them, but I chose Skip Beat, mainly because of the heroine. And why Ouran isn't there?
