a Girlfriend that likes anime and Manga? that would be good... there are quite a few in my university, but they like Yaoi too much, and after one of my friends found this memory stick with lots of Yaoi manga and actual pictures and videos of guys doing each other, only to later find out that the owner was one of them... well I don't know, but that is a huge turn off...

This is actually a really interesting question! I'm a girl, and kind of an otaku, but the reason why I don't start searching for otaku guys is that there are none where I live (Sweden). Also, I don't really identify me on the sole fact that I like manga and anime. Therefore, why should I only search for guys with that quality? But mostly it's because I don't know any male otakus...

Because I don't want a dorky boyfriend, because I am not a dork. No one knows I like anime. If my boyfriend secretly liked anime as well, that would be super awesome, but it's super unlikely. I'm really messed up because of anime/hentai, I wouldn't want my bf to be the same.

An otaku is often slovenly, and open about his anime obsession. I'm not, and I would detest acting that way. We simply wouldn't work since he'd be everything I avoid being in real life.

Hm, I wouldn't call myself an otaku, but I do adore manga and anime; but not to an obsession level. I don't go out there wearing anime shirts, or overdecorating my room with wall scrolls or posters. But, I openly say that I love watching anime or reading manga. I'll even cosplay from time to time. (:

But, I guess if I were to go for a guy, I'd want them to be like me in the way were they don't obsess over anime/manga since that's not what life is all about. If that makes any sense. >0<'
