Common Sense? Not In My Anime & Manga!

I've noticed how in all but a very select few anime and manga, not one character has common sense throughout the entire series' run. They'll have it at one moment, or it'll fade in and out at certain parts, or they won't have it at all.
Anyway, the point of this thread is to list the times in anime and manga you've witnessed where common sense was desperately needed. I'll do one for now since this insomnia is kicking my ass again. 🤣
And don't forget to use spoiler tags for your chosen moments. Some people might have not seen or read what you've chosen, and it'll make them go, "Ooh, I bet whatever they've chosen was something horrifically wonderful and stupid!" 🤣
Mine is from Naruto.
Pain has attacked Konoha and is destroying everything in sight trying to find Naruto. One problem: Naruto is away training. You'd think that Tsunade would keep Naruto away from this mess, since he hasn't finished his training yet and Pain is the person who killed Jiraiya. But no, Ms. Brains-In-Her-Breasts decides to send a toad to bring Naruto back to Konoha. Granted, she got lucky when Danzou killed the toad, but if that hadn't happened, then everyone would be dead and Akatsuki would've ruled the planet by now.

Just because someone's head was chopped off doesn't mean they're dead. That's just silly.
What I'm gonna say probably should go to the "worst shounen cliche" thread but it also fits here...
The part in shounen manga where heroes and villains alike just blurt out and go to lengths to explain their attack. Giving their opponents a chance to understand and defeat them 🤢

One of my obsolut favorits and classics comes from Elfen Lied anime:
Were the guy remmembers what Lucy had done to his family and goes all like:"Yeah, I know that you actually ripped in parts my family in from of my very eyes, but I still love you". No seriusly he must have been braindead or smth.
"Computer games don't affect kids....
I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."

That's actually one of my favorite parts of The Incredibles since it makes fun of itself:
"You sly dog, you caught me monologuing!"
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.
From a bumper sticker I like:

Yes! Thank you!
Everytime that happens i'm like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
Even in some TV programmes. Why would you reveal your weakness for gods sake? It happenes a lot in smallville. Silly Clark 🤣

I agree, although I tell myself that the villains do it because they just want to lord it over the heroes and cause them just a little more pain. When heroes do it though... 🙄
In Dragon Ball, after we find out that Saijins get stronger every time they get close to death. Everytime I saw someone train after that, I would always wonder I they wouldn't just get that Namekan or a bunch of beans and just keep hurting/healing themselves. Hell Vegeta did it when they were fighting Freeza and he became 4 times as powerful in like a few hours.
