Uhhhhh according to a lot of people, one of our buddies on this site has been spamming it. Just wondering if it's possible for Manick to twiddle around with the site code and make so that you only CAN make a certain amount of threads per day (or per 2 days). (sorry if this is a repeat, and sorry if I'm bugging Manick).

That is a bad idea. We don't need a limitation upon the number of threads, we just we more moderators watching the threads.

Hard to control oneself, happens to me to, limitations would certainly get rid of that problem

We currently can do two things: limit amount of posts per hour and make it so that you can't make new threads at all. Problem is, these settings only last a few hours to a day. There's no "permanent" setting right now. We're hoping that a little warning here and there will help out...If it gets to be much of a hassle, I guess Manick could change the code around so that the restrictions stay

It's not stopping you from posting threads it's just keeping them lower. How many legit thread can you post in an hour?
I'd say about 3 threads a day would be a liable limit. If you can make anymore there probably aren't to legit. unless it's chatter box, any random crap can go there.

I have no plans to implement limiting like this. I've implemented the warning system as a passive way for the moderators to enforce the forums' rules.

We will be messing with the settings over the next few weeks to tweak the system.
