This is just a random poll about what people like to read from the Shoujo/Josei demo. I didn't add Romance as a genre just because to me Shoujo/Josei and Romance go hand in hand, but feel free to lump it in with Other and explain. Also, yes a lot of manga have more than one genre, but I'm asking more about the main genre of the manga.

Personally I prefer fantasy and historical Shoujo/Josei and think sci-fi Shoujo/Josei is really cool. I kinda wish there was more of these genres than School Life and whatnot.

Hard for me to choose. I like fantasy a lot (Akatsuki no Yona and Kanata Kara are two of my all-time favorites), but ultimately I went with slice of life. I have a soft spot for those.

The best female targeted series (Mars wins) tend to excel at characterization and not setting so let´s go with Slice of Life to be save. A lame choice but a safe one.

I picked slice of life, especially with Josei mangas. Echoing residentgrigo, I like the characterization that is possible with slice of life. I also find them more relatable.

That's true about best female targeted...characterization, and whenever I'm reading Josei, it's usually Slice of Life. When it's Shoujo, it's Fantasy/Historical and sometimes Sci-Fi. I personally don't think many Shoujo do Slice of Life, they tend to be Romance and Drama than Slice of Life.

I picked comedy. I love series that make me laugh. Slice of life is a close second.
