Okay I've read this manga twice but it has been a while and I can't find it or remember the name!

The main character is a girl, in the beginning she's a child (an orphan?) in a little village where she is bullied because spirits are constantly tripping her and other kids don't see them. A man (some kind of fighter) discovers this and helps her control it so she won't fall anymore but he has to leave to fight something and never comes back it's assumed he's dead. He gave her something (a scroll, a dagger, I don't really remember)
Fast forward a lot of years I can't remember why she has to go into the woods but she ends up accompanying people to a large castle type place I think there's a princess there or someone like that. The thing the man gave her allows her to control some kind of kitsune or fox god, I believe she names him and is able to control him. She also is able to control the spirits that used to trip her either combining them into one big blob or several smaller ones which all have names.
The rest is fuzzy, the villain is a man who fought the guy from the beginning they grew up together training together but the bad guy was selfish interested in dark things. He's working with a witch/sorceress? Woman and really the rest is about her and the fox man defeating him.
I've tried every description possible to google it with no luck, please help me ?
