Is there a reason nobody has continued translating this?

I've had this manga in my lists for years, always waiting for somebody to pick it up again. Is there so little interest?

Probably.
Looking at my wishlist, there is well over 200 series that I'm interested in, that never received any translation, that even had other media based on it, and are decades old. Hell, Ougon Bat is the "first" comic book superhero, yet no one has translated the manga or the anime (Even after it has come out that a popular cartoon stole a character from it).
If no one does pick it up, you're only option is to learn Japanese.

Or commission the series and pay for the translations out of pocket. That's what I'm doing for some series that haven't had any movement on them in years, but that I really want to see finished.
