Anime vs Manga

I am a recent viewer of the anime and just started season 2 (on episode 3). I was wandering is there any major differences between the anime and manga, and is it worth reading the manga? Usually the manga is better than the anime but of late I have been starting mangas that seem to be worse <_<. Go figure.
Also how far is the Anime into the Manga (I think last episode is season 2 episode 19). Please no spoilers ^_^.
thanks 🙂
One other thing what chapter does Shinobu Wakamiya (Queen) first appearance and what chapter does it show the connection between Arata Wataya and Shinobu Wakamiya. 😀

Even though the anime is a really good adaptation, the manga is by far better.
The major difference between the anime/manga is that the anime cuts out a lot of Arata's screen-time (which is already pretty limited) & changes some of his dialogue 🙁
The anime also ups Taichi's NTR face & places more focus on the "love triangle" (by making Taichi actually be in love with Chihaya since elementary school & having him be more focused on Chihaya/his feelings for Chihaya). It also gives Taichi more focus, whereas the manga is a little more balanced with character screen-time, but still keeps Chihaya in the main focus.
Another major difference is that the anime cuts out the interactions between Chihaya & her family/other friends. The manga gives us more glimpses on her relationship with her mom/sister/Chi-chan/etc.
The anime (S2E19) currently finished chapter 83 (volume 16).
Shinobu's first appearance is chapter 21 (volume 4). I don't remember what chapter it shows the Arata/Shinobu relationship, but I it's volume 9/10.
LOL don't let the shipper in you think their relationship is anything romantic

Too late. 😀
I just wanted to know the relationship they had or still have. I think she has some feelings towards him, might not be love but maybe only person she respects or at least identifies with. I just don't want a silly relationship between Arata and Chihaya, whom he really does not seem to socialise with. I am rooting for Harada-sensei to get together with Chihaya. 🤣

whaaaaat? your OTP isn't Chihaya/Karuta? but it's so canon xD
Arata's adorable, but a lot of contact that he has with Chihaya is via cellphone/text messages. I think they (Arata or Chihaya) even mention how the only time they get to see each other is during a tounrnament (and that's only a few minutes) 😢
Shinobu has seen him as a rival since elementary school, but I don't think she has any romantic feelings towards Arata. If you see her having any romantic inclination towards Arata, how are you gonna react with the relationship that Shinobu & Suoh have? (which the anime omitted)

Chihaya is two dimensional. Her main points are good looks and an over crazed obsession with Karuta. Basically if you are going to make love to her, it would have to be on a bed of Karuta cards while she is doing practice sweeps.I think Taichi is the one that is right for her as he knows her best and accepts her as she is, faults and all. Arata does not know what he is getting into if he likes her in a romantic way.
Suoh likes Shinobu? 😲 Would have never guessed that. I was so sure that Suoh had a thing for Kyouko the Reader. I can't say much about a relationship between Suoh and Shinobu as I know little about Suoh, but I do recall her disdain for him during the master/queen match. So I guess she must have been hurt by him.
I tried to read the manga but its not fully scanalated so I ended up reading from chapter 89 and onward. I wish someone would do the missing chapters.
