manga will run in two different magazines and cover both college and high school, starting in April. On April 9, the May issue of Manga Time Kirara will resume the manga with Yui and the other characters in their college years. However, the June issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine will also start a version of the K-ON! manga with Azusa, Ui, Jun, and the other characters still in high school on April 28.

The four-panel comedy manga follows a group of high school girls who form an afterschool rock band. The manga had ended its first run last September. Manga Time Kirara then announced last month that the creator kakifly is resuming the manga with new strips.

K-ON!!, the second television anime series based on the manga, ran from April to September of last year, and a film is in the works. Yen Press began publishing the manga in North America last November, and Bandai Entertainment licensed the anime.
