Okay, you know you're an otaku when:

• You watch your anime RAW and can get a basic understanding of what they're saying (even though you're not japanese or taken any japanese classes.)

• someone says POT, they first thing you think of is Prince of Tennis, not the drug.

That and you do/get excited about what the characters do (cry with them, laugh with them, nosebleed with them, play sports, fight someone, go fishing, cook, etc)

It's so sad. I don't even watch that show and I got Spankies sig after half a minute. I know that I'm an otaku...but it's a little sad sometimes.

Although it ends in "acka", I feel that this should count as well. 😛

You know you're an otaku when you go crazy over a dub that mispronounces someone's name, a move, or some kind of object. (Although, you'd think that they would know how to pronounce the damned word seeing how they have to watch the anime in order to synch their lines with the mouth movements. >:-( )

You can respond to just about every conversation topic with a 'that reminds me of this one anime...' which I do. In fact, my friends pointed it out to me. Then they played a game, where they said something random and pointless, to see if I could relate some anime to it. I could. Just about every time. Only then it's funnier.

Like....'that reminds me of this one anime...only without the lesbian twincest' I get funny looks all the time 😀
