..start having anime dreams...? like literally hand-drawn/ painted and mutant looking.
which is all very interesting unless it's after a Berserk marathon 😮
the replacing language with Japanese has only happened with internal monologues so far. (luckily English has better swear words) Or when trying to think of a phrase in any other language, for example the language of a country I can actually afford to go to, or one that I supposedly learnt at school...
bastards.
Talking of baka, it would be interesting to see a thread on when did people first noticed they were picking up repetitive Japanese words like a little kid, and from what series. Mine was Evangelion. He really does get called an idiot a lot, poor lad. Or Kino's Journey; being on a wandering/ wild camping trip on my own in the mountains a few weeks after, and suddenly my mind was like, oi, Tabibito-san, get the fuck out of bed..
Very strange.
But then I am ridiculously easily influenced; I was nicking mannerisms from books/ comics/ songs/ people with a completely different accent to me from way back, so I think this counts as annoying geek rather than otaku. 🤣
They really should teach languages in school by showing cartoons from that country. It was an incentive to me to learn Spanish and remember how to speak French, when I realised how many old animes or mangas that never made it to English were translated into those languages.

oh my!! I think I do most of the things posted here, like:
- dreaming in anime, with the colors, subtitles and voices in japanese
- name your children after some manga/anime character (well, I dont have a kid yet, but my pet will be the first one)
- also, dreaming in manga style, all black and white with the bubbles (yeah I really do that, it's just that I read so many manga)
- imagining yourself in a manga or anime you like, maybe as a new character or as an existing one (I really do like doing this, is like I can change the story how I want it to be)
- using japaneases phrases, and in my case, english ones, that the characters you like use (I speak spanish but I read manga in english son I've learned a lot of idioms and such in english thanks to manga)
- feeling sad for not having anyone to talk to about the mangas or animes you like, most of the time it hapens to me (luckily I have my sister who also likes anime and some friends too, but with manga I only have forums and internet friends--thanks)
- about buying anime or manga stuff, I wish I could do that but I dont have a job ('cause I study not 'cause I'm lazy) so I dont have money, but I do buy some dvd's sometimes that I have to hide from my mother 'cause she think that they are crapy and weird--she would never imagine how many anime or manga stuff I have hide from her!!) 😛
- stay all day or nith in the computer reading manga or watching anime (yeah 😀 )
- realising that some real life situations are like the ones in manga or anime, or they could turn like that
- make jokes about manga or anime in real life and people dont get you, and when they do it you almost cry 😃
-dying for a new release
-wanting to learn japanese or korean so that you can read the next realese sooner - dreaming of traveling to Japan and get all the stuff you can!!
- trying to translate a manga you like so other people can enjoy it--I want to do it for Spanish readers from English scanlations, I just need some time (I love you scanlators, you are the root of my happiness)
and so many other habits, well I just have to say that I dont regret having spent so mauch time in this particular obssesion, I just need an understanding familiy, friends and boyfriend 😀
well just that it stays under control I think is ok
let's just enjoy it.............

I gotta admit, the only reason I'd want to learn Japanese is for the H-Anime/games as well. 😁

Guilty of that too,
but not like I care about being guilty.
Polite bump.
When you can recognize voice-actors by their voices. >3< I'm kinda like that, but only with a couple of voice-actors, but I'm sure that list will grow in the future. D:

Heh, yeah, that quiz is just a LITTLE bit old. =)
Edit: 20% otaku corrupt.
It's a hell of a lot worse for me if you exchange 'anime' for 'Star Wars'. =)
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.
