If u noticed, manga styles have been changing alot as time goes by and nowadays manga artwork has pretty bigger standards so they get more and more realistic. Can it change even further to a new style? I cant imagine it, cant get any better than now
Of course it will.
In the future, they'll
laugh at those gravity
defying haircuts the way
I laugh at those bowl cuts.

yeah it kinda scares me how much art work has changed like look at air gear. but realistic manga art (berserk, vagabound, hajima no ippo) has not changed much in the years

I dont think it'd change for the better but it'd change. "For the better" will probably represent the general public's opinions on art style which will definetly change. I garuntee you my kids will see Naruto was whacked up and out of it, and Astroboy like cave drawings (tho i cant conceive of what manga/anime will be like in 20 years).

imo the art will change about as much as a mangaka changes or asmuch as style as in hair style and clothes change in RL through out the yrs, just Look at Ah My Goddess in the 80s they had the 80s hairstyle clothing ect and the art went along with the times as time progressed the art matched with the times so i think as long as people change art will change
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

I don't know if it will change overall. In little bits maybe, but you can't even say as a whole. The definition of what manga art looks like is pretty wide. Each artist is different and draws different from the next guy. Even if its' just a little. I don't see any change in all manga over in the future.

there's not much they can really do to it; well maybe besides major funding so they can do full colored chapters, but dats pretty expensive. other than that filling every crack and window with detail is all dats left and dats can be unnecesary ;Oh Great!

Of course it'll change. Everything changes over time.

Sure the art will change.
The style, at least, will definitely change. For better or worse, who knows?
Just like platform shoes made a comeback, maybe we'll see a similar revolution in manga. It all depends on what is popular at the moment. If one style is incredibly popular, other mangaka will try to emulate that style to cash in on the success.
Heck, maybe we'll start seeing super-deformed chibi characters as main characters in dark, gory, action series (Think Happy Tree Friends meets Berserk).
Just because I think it's ridiculous doesn't mean it might not be the "Next Big Thing".

It probubly will, but I don't know how.. If it gets more realistic it will be.. like a comic, and not like a manga.
It reminds me of the sims games- the first had its graphic, and than came along the sims2, with it's amazing graphics, now they wanna release sims3(so I've read) so, who knows what more they can improve..
There was this change, in the manga Count Cain by Kaori Yuki, the art , at first wasn't too good, but became way better as time, and volumes proggresed.
She drew "Godchild"- its art is just amazing, But, totally different from Count Cain (its prequel).
There are many manga that are drawn in a poor manner, maybe there will be more like those in the future? 😲 (hope I'll be dead by than, cause if not, I WILL die from heart attak coused by too much of bad drawings) 🤣
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

Take From Eroika with Love,Glass Mask, Anatolia Story,Cardcaptor Sakura to Vampire Knight. See how much artwork changed over the years? Especially in the 1995-2005 period.
The question is: will art ever stay the same? Because I think a few years ago people were more confined in the "regular" boundaries of artwork. Now with the spreading of the internet, the existence of holy scanner and photoshop and with the growing number of mangas, I guess it won't stop here.
More retro-ish styles will appear, while my guess is that styles like ones in Kanon and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will become most popular in the next few years. Afterwards, I'm reaally curious to see what will come up.
Berserk with chibi characters? (there's already When they cry anime) but I doubt anyone will ever be able to pull it off exactly.
