Will this series become a Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or a Monthly series?
Or was this just for MOVIE promotion purposes?
I hope this is an ongoing weekly series.
And what's this rumor I'm hearing about Karin hiding away with Orochimaru, and that Sasuke is on a mission to bring her back?
All of this may be slightly off but this is what i remember form the last half a year worth of interviews. Naruto Gaiden will be a weekly mini-series that will last for about half a year with Kishimoto on board and then... who knows.
The manga is described as short, but the exact length has not be revealed. http://crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/03/29-1/naruto-gaiden-manga-scheduled-for-april
He will probably go into Toriyama-esqe semi-retirement and a seasoned assistant will carry it on under a new name i guess cuZ money.
Boruto: Naruto the Movie (what a name) sounds like it´s own "canon"story but it´s also a Naruto movie... 😐
A dozen or so "highly needed" books will cover the time skip and these can easily be turned into filler for the unenviable but still not announced Baruto Gt or OVA´s i guess.
Then there is the stage play, more games and...
Kishimoto´s final page of gaiden will be the end for me too but i like how he trolled the shippers in the opening chapter. At least he is having a bit of fun.
6/10? and Sasuke needs a father of the year award.
Forgot: A Naruto art exhibition opening on April 25 in may reveal Kakashi's face.

A Naruto art exhibition opening on April 25 in may reveal Kakashi's face. Thanks. Didn't know about that one as well.
If Kakashi's face does get revealed in such a way - wouldn't that be a waste? His mouth-mask is worth even a whole movie of explanations.

Shueisha Lists Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Manga as 1 Volume Long
The official website for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is listing that the compiled volume of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto Gaiden: Nanadaime Hokage to Akairo no Hanatsuzuki (Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring) manga will ship on August 4. The listing does not have a volume number next to the title.
Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on April 27, and the magazine published the seventh chapter on Monday. The manga was originally announced as a spinoff mini-series.
