Pokemon. When I'm bored I still watch it sometimes, haha!
Although I like Yu-gi-oh too, Pokemon is just better in my humble opinion.

Pokemon holds more childhood memories for me. I didn't get into Yu-Gi-Oh when it first came out. It was only years later when I bothered to play the game. (I got hooked after that though 🤣 )
The Pokemon games were too amazing. First game I ever got for gameboy was Blue version. It's basically my childhood.
Nostalgia wins.

Oh kinda hard. Yu Gi Oh abridged cracks me up. And I liked Yu Gi Oh GX Judge away. That said Pokemon makes me nostaligic <3 I was never into the Pokemon card game but omg the board game. So Pokemon wins.

I got up early every Saturday morning when I was a kid to watch it. I love the concept of the cards in yu-gi-oh but didn't get into the anime.

I like Pokemon more because it breaks back lots of memories of Ash, Brock and Misty... Those were good times. Pokemon also was more creative/imaginative in my opinion, and I loved the game for Gameboy Colour ages ago.

Pokemon was my introduction to anime. Hard to beat the original, you know?
That aside, I would have had to say Pokemon anyway. I always found people getting as excited as the Yu-Gi-Oh anime folks did about a card game to be a little silly.

Pokemon for games, Yu-gi-oh for anime/manga, both card games were kind of gimp.
In a way they aren't really suitable for comparison. Pokemon is, originally, a video game. Yu-gi-oh is, originally, a manga.

Yugioh!! The show was actually good in terms of plot sometimes and Yugi didn't forget how to play cardgames at the beginning of every season like how Ash forgets how to use pokeballs/catch pokemon.

Pokemon. I watched the first episode which was ever shown in german tv back than. when i was little i was always living in the pokemom world in my mind since reality was to cruel. i grew up with it and even now i play the games (the anime became crap after msity left and they started with hoenn).
i never like yugioh to begin with

Pokemon! Hands down. I grew up on it and am still addicted. It basically tells my whole childhood first videogame, fave TV series (not anymore lost its appeal after the Johto series), heated discussions and something I can look back on and still think it was worth it.
