WORST anime opening/ending (please choose one)

The English version of Sakura Kiss from Ouran. I've informed my friends that if it ever comes down to me listening to it again or dying, they're to shoot me. Immediately. Though I agree about the Death Note second op from earlier, I was like "WTH?" the first time I heard it.

Seconding that and for shoujo throwing in a vote for Special A. The opening sounds sickly sweet (reminds me a lot of that awful bleach op/ed with kon dancing-though at least I think that broke into decent music) and the end is bad a cappella.
Currently hating the ending for Soul Eater (Japanese Linkin Park knock off with horrible tempo) -which annoys me a bit 'cause I like all the other music in it, even the strange engrish rap.

Just saw the opening for Special A on Youtube. I wholeheartedly agree that the opening is just beyond bad... it's sickening. It sounds like a chipmunk trying to sing.
Other than that my worst opening has got to be Vandread 2nd season op.
The world would be a bleak place without manga.

Oh, gee. I've heard some bad ones. The 5th ed for Naruto I think it was. And the 2nd op for Shippuden. I didn't think Naruto's 1st op was that bad. It's not like it made your ears bleed. Mmm... Peach Girl's op. That was just... special.

and Happy People (Bleach) I mean look,the last second of the anime:
"I'm going to KILL you!!!blood i everywhere" and then: "Happy People in da house^^"

.> it just proves that everybody in bleach loves to kill people xD, i actually liked that ending a little, and to the people saying "chain" from air gear is the worst OP you either have horrible taste in music or you exaggerate too much.

Pfft. I thought it was better than the Japanese version. Yes, it's terrible, but at least it's funny. The Japanese version is just completely generic, unremarkable J-pop trash. It's neither good nor hilarious like its American counterpart.

Are you serious? The opening was glorious. GLORIOUS! It's the main reason I sat through the steaming pile of fail that was the Tenjou Tenge anime (although I've said before that I quite like the manga). It's the ending that was horrible - some obnoxious Japanese pop singer obnoxiously repeating "Love me more" in Japanese over and over again. Granted, it's somewhat appropriate for Aya's character, but it's still a horrid excuse for a song, and decidedly unfunny.
I agree with whoever said the second Death Note opening was horrible, though. It's a terrible song; generic clunky metal riffs we've heard 800,000 times before + Japanese insistence on awkwardly peppering Japanese lyrics with English words and phrases = fail. And it's not as if the lyrics were particularly good even without those elements. On top of all that, the song itself is tangentially appropriate for the series at best. It's a shame too, because the lackluster, uninspired opening and ending themes aside, the Death Note soundtrack as a whole is amazing; most of the show's music perfectly conveys the suspense element, while being good music in and of itself.
I'd have to say the worst ending theme I've heard is Trigun's ending theme.
