well we all know that Minato wanted Naruto to completely overcome the fox's chakra, and if that was failing I think Minato's mom was set up as a back-up plan, just like Minato for him going crazy 😛
though yah, it is kinda messed up that he has his parents inside of him, and how does he have them inside is the big question, did Minato put in the four elephant seal and she did the five seal around that one??

I believe it was said she was from the "Whirlpool" village (it got destroyed) and had a similar fighting style and temper to Naruto. It wasn't ever confirmed how she died, and we only saw her once during Jiraya's pre-death flashback, when he was speaking to Minato and Naruto's name was decided.

Anyway I guess she is dead apparently, and I hope Kishimoto has a very good explanation as to why she is popping up now. Oh and I was always bothered when Naruto didn't ask his dad about his mom. It was just really weird. Even if he assumed she was dead he still should've asked about her...

I've always been bothered by how the manga has handled everything to do with Naruto's parents, honestly. As far as we know, Naruto has never asked ANYONE about his parents, not the Third Hokage, not Jiraya, not his father when he finally met him (I completely agree, that was a very obvious time for him to ask about him mom), and not even Kakashi who admitted to knowing who Naruto's father was.

It makes no sense: why in the hell wouldn't Naruto want to know about his origins? We've seen him be emo about the villagers rejecting him, but never anything about him thinking his parents had as well. You'd think Naruto would've grown up with Cinderella fantasies about his real parents being famous ninjas who would one day come for him, or whatever. But even if Naruto never cared to know who they were, you'd also think he might've at least wanted to know why they gave him up to be the host for the kyuubi, wouldn't you?

not sure but I think it was mentioned at the beginning of the manga that both his parents died fighting 9s. as far as how she's there, kishi better explain that shit next chapter.

You are absoluetly right i mean here we have this dude naruto going crazy about trying to get back with Sasuke and yet he never bothers to raise questions and ask around about his parents?
