Solar Eclipse
In case that you didn't know, today (the 1st of August) there is/has been
a solar eclipse. Did anybody get a glimpse of it?
I think I just missed it.

ScienceDaily (July 31, 2008) — On 1st August 2008 there will be a total eclipse of the Sun, visible from Canada, northern Greenland, Svalbard, the Barents Sea, Russia, Mongolia and China. From the whole of the British Isles observers will see a partial solar eclipse, with between 1/10th and 1/3rd of the Sun obscured by the Moon.
I'm not in any of these places, so I don't think I'm gonna bother.... besides, I'm a bit behind on my work (gotta retouch 200+ photos, deadline is tomorrow), so I wouldn't have time even if it was visible in my area. Dunno for sure....
How about Finland, mams?.... any sightings??
WARNING: Solar Eclipses should NOT be viewed with the unaided eye... so don't go blind, people.

Dunno 'bout other people, but all I saw around 10 AM

It was raining and gloomy, couldn't even see the blue skies, nonetheless a solar eclipse.

I saw the partial, less than 60% covered, you couldn't even see it without two panes of welding glass (which I had) since the brightness of the sun canceled the effect, the moments it peaked out from behind the clouds.
