Monster...anime or manga?

I want to read/watch Monster, I MUST.
Naoki Urusawa is an amazing mangaka.
I started reading it last year and quit reading because quite a few personal things were going on then.
Should I watch the anime or read the manga?
If both, which first?

The anime and manga are the same, so it doesn't matter which one you read/watch. I only say the anime, because it's nice to have the voices and color. Plus, the scanlations are a tad old, so they are not super nice quality.

I recommend the anime, because it's wonderfully animated, perfectly paced and is really true to Urasawa-sensei's vision. The manga takes a LOT longer to read (lol, for me, at least!), but the anime allows you to move through the plot quicker. So I'd recommend the anime.
You can always come back later and read the manga to revel in it properly, anyway. I do recommend that, as well. I call it the "post-watch wallow". 😀

If you can choose only 1, read the manga. Otherwise watch the anime first, and then the manga, because the story is so meticulous, that I think you actually have to go through it twice to really catch some of the clues the author gives.
If I knew "manga" would be behind in the poll, I would have voted for it instead of "both"
I was gonna give an opinion on the balance between fiction and reality, and manipulation etc, but lemme not stray off the thread too much :)
