This week's poll was suggested by Stellar Sovereignty. You guys have preferences on those partially scanlated chapters?

Previous Poll Results:
Question: When do you wake up usually?
Choices:
Early morning - votes: 1478 (38.4%)
Late morning - votes: 1582 (41.1%)
Afternoon - votes: 621 (16.1%)
Evening - votes: 95 (2.5%)
Late at night - votes: 76 (2%)
There were 3852 total votes.
The poll ended: September 12th 2020

I'm sort of curious how many people work graveyard shifts

If the author does 5 pages or less as parts, please wait for the whole chapter. Or if they do a page a day/week, wait for chapter. If longer or less frequent then, I don't mind translator/scanlators following the author release method of parting the chapters.

I prefer to stick to original source mmm...
Unless there are already full chapter released by the time they scanlate it, releasing by part is ok mmm...

It depends on the manga. There are some manga with a very long update. It frustrate me when this kind of manga has to be split up in some parts, and I have to wait long once again for the next part of the chapter, for example. If this was the situation, I prefer if they put it into one chapter.

Otherwise, I wouldn't really mind about this splitting chapter.

I feel like releasing all of the parts at the same time but still split-up for authenticity is the best option.
Combining them into a single chapter may present some issues with the two-page layout, and with it being in the middle of a chapter, may go unnoticed for a bit. Making it a bit more annoying to read.

So, I say always split up the chapter if that's how it is originally, but be sure to release the next part quickly. Even if you have to delay releasing the first part.

Translate and release it in parts but do what you want scanlators.

by split chapter I mean that from web magazine like comic walker or nico that splits monthly chapter so you can read it weekly or every other week, where on the real magazine or tankobon it is single chapter originally

I’d prefer whatever the original format is! If the official release is a 2 part chapter that’s fine; I wouldn’t want the numbering to be weird if it’s combined into one.

As a reader, single chapter works best for me. But I don't mind reading it in multiple parts if that works best for the scanlator.

Depends on the length. If it's under the standard length for a weekly (~18 pages for Shounen Jump if i'm remembering correctly) I'd wait for all parts to read it personally. If it's a huge 80 page chapter split into two or three parts, I'd rather get it as available.

I rarely read manga that isn't complete because I hate waiting for the next chapter. However, at the end of the day, I'd rather the scanlator do whatever they want as long as they don't drop the title. They're the one doing all the work, far be it for me to tell them what to do.
