Idk how long it's been since I read this manga but i cant seem to remember the name of it.

it starts of with this man going inside this house with this letter he had for a long time and he never opened. he later tells a story about his past and it's about two teenage boys (him and one of his classmates) and it starts off with the classmate (the uke) who didn't show up to school one day. The other boy (the man telling the story), I guess, brought his things to his house. Idk when but they later tell a story or read one (not sure) about two lovers who got separated and the one lover gave her lover who was leaving this type of flower that meant luck or something.
for the ending, the men telling the story went off to college (don't remember what happens before) and he gets a call from his mother saying that his classmate had been killed by the classmate's father.
when it flashes back to the man telling the story, he opens the letter (which was from his classmate) and it was the same flower from that story they read.

does this sound familiar to anyone?! lol I think the magaka is HONJOU Rie but i'm not sure cuz I couldn't find it...

if parts of the story fits another manga can u still show me it? i might have gotten parts of the story wrong lol
