The manga I'm looking for is about a magical academy with witches. There might have been some male students, but they weren't prominent characters and the focus was on the female ones. The shoujo ai tones were subtle. Although there's some attraction between the main female characters there doesn't seem an urgency to develop it into a romantic relationship. It might've been the fascination of two people wanting to be friends. The manga had a very slice of life feeling. "Soft" or "gentle" are words I'd use to describe the story.

I think in the first chapter they were gathering shooting stars about the size of small candy as magical ingredients. I believe one of the main female characters is a blonde while the other is a redhead.
