just wanted to know if you sometimes get the feeling that reading mangas is pointless and feel like you should do something else instead

Yeah tons of times, but that was when I remembered that I actually did have something I needed to do. 🤣

Well, my mom thinks that manga is just a passing fancy for me. While I can't see my own future, though, I don't think it's just a phase. Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing, but, like in movies and books, there are the really bad ones and the good ones that redeem the entire genre. When I read something like The Embalmer, I remember why I read manga.

With me, reading manga is a habit. I don't know if this is a bad one just like smoking, nail bitting, drug addicting or not but I do think this will not bring me anywhere in life.
I've read manga for such a long time, I prefer reading manga to socializing. I know it's no good, but I'm still doing it everyday. The reason maybe the same as the reason why smokers cannot quit smoking easily.

Countless of times. It's sad, really <__< This just prove how little discipline I got over myself.
I'm especially "ahh" wants to read manga when it's exam week xD

I can't quit reading books, and I love drawing too much. Therefore, manga is a must 🙂 I only think it's a waste when the manga I'm reading is downright stupid.

Oh yeah, especially when it's 2am in the morning and I'm still reading 🤣

There are times where "I really should be working..." is repeating itself in the back of my mind as I read too.
It will depend on how hooked I am on the story whether I continue or whether I actually get down to doing some work.

Everyone has thought this at some point in time, I'm sure. So have I. But then again, so long as you know your limits and do it as a hobby and not an addiction, I'm sure it's fine.

^this

I suddenly realize I've spent the last 4 hours reading about a loser boy who summoned a demon succubus to be his sex buddy, and they've have nothing but poorly drawn sex for the last 10 chapters and they show no character developement and I really need to overthink my life

But SERIOUSLY it does happen to me. I thought when I dived head first into manga I'd be reading the worthwile stuff, and then I catch myself reading harem or shonen tournament manga. I switch off the computer, walk around, take a swim, and when I feel I'm ready I read some Asano or something. Truly makes me wonder what kind of sad existance I am that I must read cheesy comics, losing sight of my goal of enlightenment (not really lol)
😐

Yes, especially after knowing that this has slightly weaned me off of real novels. The pictures are just too pretty... D,:

Yes...

And it's not that I really need to do something else, it's just the feeling of what the hell am I doing.
