i'm trying to help a friend find some good shoujo ai series. ^_^ I don't know what she's read already, but probably not a whole lot, so any recommendations are welcome.

I actually did a forum search for this and didn't come up with any "i'm looking for..." topics about shoujo ai. o_O but sorry anyway if this is a repeat.

The Strawberry Panic! shoujo ai light novel is one of the better ones I have encountered.

Strawberry Shake is very funny and the character design is utterly cute. But it's never serious, always silly. Don't know if you're looking for something like that

iono the fanatics, kashimashi, the last uniform, first love sisters. and the scanslation team lililicious only does shoujo ai projects, and they have a lot of material there. also, the group dynasty does a lot of shoujo ai material now. and if u havent already, check out kannazuki no miko, and strawberry panic anime. YURI FTW ><!

Fansubs and Scanslations are the best! But when official releases come out, support the anime industry by purchasing your favorite series! (Geneon -R.I.P, Central Media Park - get well soon, ADV Manga - you're back from the dead?!)

my friend said she's been on the lililicious scanlation website or something and that she's read some of the mangas there, but after a while, they all start to blend together. if you know what i mean. =P

And finally, it depends on what type of shoujo-ai you're looking for. There's shoujo-ai written for men(sometimes with a light sexual slant), shoujo-ai written for straight females and sometimes... shoujo-ai written for lesbians. Also, adding to the confusion is that a lot of people often confuse yuri with shoujo-ai or lump both together.

And also... a lot of shoujo-ai/yuri oneshots are just fairly passable. Instead, try some of the series suggested since they've better storytelling, characterisation, tension, etc.
