I would read a manga of course but when the teacher passes by the laptops I would be too absorbed in the manga to notice him 🙁

Any suggestions?

I usually read fanfics or some lame kiddy jokes when I'm bored during class.

However, if you're the type to get absorbed to whatever you're doing easily, then the risk of you getting caught by the teacher is always there, no matter what you are or will be doing.

Just play Pinball or something. xD

One of the things I always did was having a terminal open with vim having some (complex) source code I was working on open. Usually people just walk away when they see a big black screen with lots of (coloured) letters (or are interested, which I didn't mind).
Never had any trouble with teachers though, what you did in class was always up to you (as long is you didn't disturb others). I was always working on side/school projects during most classes, or was actually paying attention (why else would I choose that course).

I would but it's Technology and it's required for us in 10th grade and I finished my assignment so now I'm quite bored lol but I do pay attention in all my classes.

If you're done with the assignment, usually the teacher doesn't care whatever it is you're doing right? (That's how it went when I was still in HS)

Ever heard of MUDs?

If I were your teacher, I'd probably ask to see your ~/.vimrc and we'd probably end up discussing plugins or syntax highlighting schemes.

...and then we'd get into a Vim vs Emacs argument with the teacher in the next class 🤣

I took online quizzes a lot. Most teachers didn't care if they saw me on something other than a game/video site. I read manga a lot too, if I wasn't too busy doing work for other classes.

I also suggest image sites. Those are fun and time-consuming. 😛

Exactly because you can do things on a laptop while in class is why I don't have a laptop. My classes aren't that easy that you could not pay attention.

We usually play Conquiztador here. It is fun when played with other classmates + games are not too long for you to get absorbed, so I recommend it. I dunno if there is a version for you country, though.
