Hello, I would like some advice on finding ugly manga/anime pics. Posting some ugly ones here would help, too. I tried typing "ugly manga" in google and looking at the images but those weren't ugly. Thanks.

Well it may sound cliched, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So I guess ugliness follows the same rule. Your request is vague and quite odd.

Well, I don't find spirited away ugly, just some of the characters are ugly and they're meant to be ugly.
Well, Inuyasha wasn't quite what I was talking about. The artwork could be considered ugly to some, but I meant ugly as in you can't believe your eyes it's ugly. Not the drawing style but characters that were meant to be ugly or a very ugly mask, starting to understand my request?
My request was also for tips on how to find ugly anime/manga/drama pics on the net.
You said it's odd? I bet that can follow the same rules as the beauty in the beholder rule. Of course, many people would say it's odd.

i wouldn't recomend this manga to the average reader as it's really dark and graphic, but that's besides the point.

as for finding other "ugly" images i'd stick with very dark and or graphic works as they would be more likely to contain somenting that my be displeasing to the eye.

Palepail, I tried looking for horror manga and I found some ugly pics, but they were horrific as well as ugly so they didn't work. I'm trying to find ugly pics that aren't too terrifying. Does mangaupdates have a genre called grotesque? Now that I think about it, what would be good genres on here for ugly pics? So, anymore advice on finding ugly pics?

I love the way in GTO some people are made to be ugly.
I am too lazy right now to upload them, but the director whos mercedes is always wrecked or the ugly school girl hookers are definitly worth it. I really would upload them if i wouldn't have to browse through 25 volumes on order to find the right pages.

Other good ugly people are transvestites. Take a look into shool of water buiseness!

and on a side note, the by far ugliest main character i ever saw was in a side story from the Preacher ( yes, the US ) comic. Its about a depressed 16 year old who you shots himself with a shotgun butinstead of hitting his brain and dying he shots of his jaw and wrecks his face. No he was a really really really ugly person. Since i don't have the comic on computer or in real i can't upload a pic.

Ok, I'm happy to oblige, but I recently made a post answering almost the same question (the person wanted ugly shoujo in particular), so I'm just going to paste it, if you don't mind. By the way, I'm assuming that what you mean by ugly is not well drawn, namely misanthropic.

I tried to quickly pick the most misanthropic shoujo from my Blacklist1. The thing I am most particular about is the face, so in those examples you'll most commonly find things like overly tall, gaping eyes, slits for eyes, and misshapen faces, but I also tried to select some with problems with the rest of the body, like necks that are too long, bodies or limbs that are too gangly and scrawny, and spindly hands. I hope that's along the lines of what you're looking for.
If you find that the things you dislike in artwork are similar to mine and you are looking for more, feel free to visit my Blacklist1 (my list specifically for ugly things) or Sub-blacklist1 (my list for marginally ugly things), as there are plenty more where those came from (I need to do a bit of reorganizing, though, so please don't be mad if there are a few series out of place).
I'm curious, now, though. Why are you looking for ugly things?

As for how I found them, a year or so ago I simply went through looking at the picture for each and every manga (excluding the genres yuri, hentai, lolicon, shotacon, shounen ai, and shoujo ai). I've discovered since then that a more effective way is to look through manga, but when you see one that's really ugly, just check out the author's other works, chances are that most, if not all, of them will be just as ugly. There's also two publishers you may want to check out: Harlequinsha and Oozora Shuppan publish these English-romance-novels-turned-manga, which they for some reason very consistently choose artists who do a terrible (misanthropic) job on the artwork, so I recommend checking out some of their artists.
Also, as for certain genres being more ugly than others, based on the contents of my Blacklist1 and Sub-blacklist1, shoujo has the greatest number of ugly series (39% of those two lists is shoujo), followed by romance (35%), followed by yaoi (31%). (Keep in mind that first, the characteristic art styles for both shoujo and yaoi have a misanthropic nature, second, romance and shoujo overlap heavily, so most of the ugly romance series are probably shoujo, and third, "number of ugly series" will be naturally skewed toward genres like shoujo, josei, yaoi, etc., which tend to have series with fewer volumes than the others, and so an artificially (for lack of a better word) large number of series.)
