The online shop WonderGOO previewed the original bonus illustration that it will include with orders of Tomoya Haruno's seventh D-Frag! (D-Fragments) manga volume this week. In the illustration, Haruno wrote that he asks for his fans' support on the television anime adaptation.

The story centers around a notorious delinquent named Kenji Kazama. One day, he unexpectedly stumbles across a "game creation club" (interim name) with club president Ruka Shibasaki (game attribute: flame/darkness), club member and student council president Chitose Karasuyama (attribute: ground), club member and first-year student Sakura Mizukami (attribute: water) and club member/second-year student Minami Ōsawa (attribute: lightning). Kazama is half-forced to join the club, and the onetime gang member finds himself in an even stranger gathering of students.

Haruno launched the manga in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2008. The story already inspired drama CDs with Katsuyuki Konishi, Kana Hanazawa, Chiwa Saito, Mikako Takahashi, and Ami Koshimizu.
