I'm a bit curious about this one. How much do you think the scanlation sites get from donations? I don't believe it's much, but have no idea. I guess manga readers and download sites earn more, because there are many series, and I wonder if there are many people that donate for scanlation. Just curious, thanks

I believe it depends on how fast/popular the group's releases may be but from my personal experience, one of my old groups I worked for gathered around $35, more a less a month from generous folks! (We only specialized in shoujo.) I know it doesn't sound like much but.. It was more than what we started off with. It really helped with the hosting costs. :3

my niece call me by my name (almost always).. She is not even 3 yet, so I don't mind. but should something be done? Or should i just let it be till she reach the age where she would understand more?

That depends on your family & what you're comfortable with, but if you want to be called something else, it's probably better to (gently) teach her now rather than waiting until calling you by name is an ingrained habit.

In our family, my kids call me mom (I would have been fine with them calling me by my first name, but "Mommy" stuck & that's fine too) but call my mom by her first name (instead of "grandma"). My brother & I call our parents by their first names & always have, and one grandmother we called by her first name but our other grandparents have always been "grandma" and "grandpa". Aunts, uncles, & cousins we've always just called by their first names.

So, since i'm fine with it, the best solution right now is announcing to the rest of the family that i'm fine with it....
It's not that uncommon right? Since we were small we called one of our aunt and uncle as mom and dad... Pretty hectic when all are at the same room, but they're fine with it... Thanks for the insight, i were hoping an answer from a parent point of view

In my family, we call aunts/uncles "uncle/aunt + first name".
Kids of uncles and whatever (their spouses, too) are called by their first names.
I'm used to calling my parents "mom and dad", and when I was little, kids calling their parents by their first names was odd to me, almost disrespectful.
Like they're the Pope, or something. 🤣
But I think most parents are fine with that. After all, it's usually the upbringing that influences that

It just developes into a habit.
Nothing's wrong with that.
Who cares and who said people should stick to either names or titles?
