Which language are you trying to learn? There might be better options depending on the language.
Korean.
Go to Korea. .-. If it worked for Bintu, it can work for you too! o/
It'll be years before I can do that, though I will someday 🙂

Haha. I've been trying to learn Korean as well. Your opinions on Rosetta Stone for that language are helpful... so thanks for that.
I thought my ability to read/write Chinese would help (Koreans use "Hanja" in professional and official gov't script), but in practice, I've found that most Koreans I know rarely use that. It's overly formal.
Korean is still relatively difficult to learn compared to Chinese and Japanese. Technically Chinese is harder IMO, but there are so many more free online writing tools and learning modules for Chinese (writing and dialects) than there are for Korean.
I've actually tried finding a Korean girl friend, but most Koreans I know in the US are too Christian. I can't force myself to attend church weekly.

thanks for sharing the thread 😀 but i couldnt take the girl/guy's opinion seriously since she/he havent even read battle royale!
also, most of the comments are coming from people who read only one of the twothose who actually read both completely agree on the plots being too similar, true they're both inspired from a myth but even the way collins used the myth is definetly a rip off of battle royale :l
Thanks for your feedback on my write-up of Hunger Games vs. Battle Royale. I wanted to clarify that I have read it--the book version, not the manga. So feel free to take me seriously. 🙂
I do agree that many of the commenters are from those who have only read one or the other, but those who have read both do not all agree that HG is a rip off of BR. If you've read both, then feel free to leave your two cents in the comments. 🙂

It's not very useful if you don't know the language.

I sometimes dream in third person, and sometimes in first person with a totally mismatched identity (doesn't look like the real me, but it's me).
About nightmares, not always, I think.

I always (as long as I can remember) have dreamed in the first person.
Regarding nightmares, not always. Mine never end before the gruesome moment. Like once, I dreamt about being in the sewer and having a shark come up to me and bite my head off, wake up moments later [while still in the dream] and find myself in recovery after the doctors put my head back on. Then I woke up for real.
My worst nightmares, though, are the ones in which I'm half-awake. My mind is awake but my body isn't, and therefore, paralyzed. I eventually wake up, after freaking out and crying, of course.

Well what other choices are there besides first and third? Dreaming in second would be mighty awkward~
dreams exclusively in 3rd
Not always on nightmares.

Casey... I know you are not an adult, but I also know you are not a child either. So, you can try looking things up yourself, or think up ways to use what tools you are given to aid your own educational endeavors.
In addition, I don't know Korean either, but I know how to use google translate, for it is my friend in such matters, to get the gist of what Bint was saying... in order to reply to his comment.
If you put in the effort, it can be yours too.
For MewMan, your question is more for its own thread topic, because everyone dreams differently... and each person may have different perspectives for each dream... or different perspectives within the same dream.
Now, there is one about perceptions already... but not perspectives; so, it would be okay to start a new thread (unless, I missed one).
kaerfehtdeelb... one can add omniscient and limited to both... and there is the combination/altering between 3rd/1st person.

I have a question that has been driving me nuts:
Why do people feel the need to be complete nutcases/jerks/a-holes when on the internet? Why do people need to take this different persona? Is it because of the anonymity?
I treat people with respect no matter what, even on the internet. My personality on the internet is who I am when you meet me in person.
So why do people adopt this 180?
There is a simple solution to every problem; finding the simple solution is the difficult problem.

But those are all still within the scope of the two original perspectives, it's still a first or third if you boil away the fancy fat.
@jake: what makes you think it's a 180 for the internet, and not the other way around?

Because from the attacks I have experienced on the internet, I know people wouldn't last 10 seconds in the real world without some serious backlash.

Personal experience: I actually ran into a guy from facebook who was being a total douche (you talk about some personal attacks.) When I confronted him, even chickens have stood up for themselves than this joke. The guy actually started crying.
I will give you the point that it can go both ways; however, its more douche bag on internet. And I could never figure out why?
