I have another question here, does anyone know the Japanese name for character Pandapple?
It's still Pandapple except Japanese-y: パンダップル, pandappuru.
http://www.sanrio.co.jp/characters/index.html ...eighth row, all the way to the right.
Thanks so much for the help!~ 😀
(For some reason, when I tried searching up the English version of the site, he was missing from the list lol xP)

Has anyone here performed 1000 shinai swings everyday for 1000 days and are you now noticeably more enlightened?

Is there anyway other than the rss feed to keep up to date on the releases without checking each page?
If not, please post the link for the feed 'maker'. I forgot what it's called 😛 .

This page fills that role, I thought. It's right over there on the right side of every page on MU, below Chat and above Scanlators.

This is the option other than rss feed to keep up to date with releases. If you just wanted the RSS feed maker, just say that.

I thought I did. Apologies if it wasn't clear enough. And yes, your suggestion would have been very helpful if not for the fact that the page didn't filter out series not in my lists.
Can you post the link for the RSS feed maker please??

He's referring to that fact that there is a little picture by the se4ries name that says if it's in one of your lists (not the unfinished list though).

That is pretty helpful, but not what I'm looking for.
I'd appreciate it if someone could post the link for the RSS maker.
Edit - found it, thanks.

You know... a link to the trailer would be nice.

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know
Next time, if you can hear the lyrics, you can most likely find out the song by googling them.
'Tis what I did.

Hey there. I wasn't sure this merited its own thread, so I'm trying here. I haven't watched much anime (more of a manga reader) besides Studio Ghibli stuff but recently I got netflix and watched the xxxHolic anime series. The only other anime I had watched up until that point was FMA: Brotherhood and I was surprised at the difference in the quality of the animation between xxxHolic and FMA. Not the drawings even, but specifically the animation. It seemed like xxxHolic used a lot of animation shortcuts to avoid drawing more frames, wheras FMA had more movement and looked more natural. Is this unusual? Are animes typically more like xxxHolic to save money and time? Or was xxxHolic an exception? I don't know much about this, so I'm interested in anything you can tell me regarding quality of animation in anime. I'll repeat, this has nothing to do with how well they adapted the story, how good the voice actors were, etc. I just want to discuss the animation.
I did an animation course last year, and the lecturer told us that anime in general tends to use a lot of animation shortcuts, especially when compared to western animation. The standard FPS is 24 or 25, but for anime it's usually something like 16. It's called limited animation and it's not necessarily lazy as some animation elitists may suggest, but more a technique used to speed up the process and reduce costs, which is necessary in Japan due to the large amount of anime produced. While the difference between limited and full animation is noticeable, with anime it tends to be standard. Of course, it differs between productions studios and how profitable a series is.
