Question: How do you reject someone nicely? And I'm not just talking about relationships.

I've always had a problem with this, especially if I'm close with the person. I hint at it and if they still don't get it, I tell it to them straight and then everyone in the little circle thinks I'm a witch ahem excuse my language...

I guess the only thing I can say that would be true to my heart is not to care what they think. If its the truth, its the truth. Though its always best to phrase your rejection in a way that wont cause them to spew venomous hatred all over you. Try it like you would do constructive criticism.

1.) You're a really (insert ambigious nice remark)
2.) But...(insert what you want to say)
3.) Don't be upset, maybe next time (insert sincere heart felt regret (or atleast fake it))

People tend to feel better if you butter them up. :3 ... Yes, I know I'm a terrible person but who cares?

Hmm....I don't understand your question? But I'm not that picky about how my friends look. If their loyal and supportive in my times of need but critical when they think I need to hear it, they're (hopefully) my friends for life even if we don't see each other all the time (distance issues) but thank goodness for technology. smile wink grin

I'm fortunate to have such friends even though there have been bumps along the way and "friends" who weren't the best people. But they made me wiser and more careful about who I choose to associate myself with. eyes

Romantically: "I'm really sorry, you're [compliment] but I just don't feel that way about you." If they start raging about the friendzone, cut 'em out of your life.

Anything else: Apology + "I wish I could help/go/etc, but" + reasonably valid reason you can't help. If possible be honest, but a small lie might be ok if it will help you and/or them to save face or not hurt any feelings.

There's a decent article called "How to Say No (Without Being an Asshole)" here. Though you know, the other person should also try not to be an asshole. If they are way too pushy, asking too much of you and refusing to accept your no, I don't see any reason you shouldn't be blunt with them.

This past August my 6-year-old son & I spent a couple weeks in Japan, and being vegetarian & on a budget & not speaking Japanese that well, we ended up getting quite a bit of our food from convenience stores.

One of my son's favorite conbini foods was the "yude tamago", basically a boiled egg, but they were slightly salty all the way through to the yolk.

Does anyone know how to get the eggs to be salty inside like that??

I haven't been able to find anything online except for other people wondering how it's done, or instructions for how to cook eggs with the yolks soft, or how to make salted preserved eggs, which is not what I'm looking for. none

Well the egg should be salty if you just boil them in salt water, but all the way to the yolk? Perhaps you could soak them in salt water prior to boiling as that might make it easier for the salt to migrate all the way to the yolk as the egg is still in liquid form.

Some people seem to like to punch a minuscule hole on the wider end of the egg for whatever the reason was (the water will not get inside and neither will the insides come out). Perhaps it would help.

Other than that there's marinating the egg as another option (after boiling and peeling). Although that would not be a yude tamago (which is i.e. boiled egg, salt or no salt).

One more thing I can think of is feeding the chicken salty... chicken food...

Yeah, I've thought of boiling in salty water, but not sure of how much salt to put in, and I'm pretty doubtful it would get all the way to the yolk. (I'm sure the yolk was salty because my son only ate the whites, so I ate the yolks, and they were definitely saltier than a plain boiled egg.)

I've tried making various marinated/pickled eggs and they were good, but not what I'm going for here. The ones in Japan were just boiled eggs, in the shell, with no hole poked in it or anything.

(Pretty sure the hole is to stop the eggs from cracking when they're cooked - every egg has an air bubble inside, and sometimes that air bubble expands during cooking & cracks the egg. If you poke a hole in the end where the air bubble is, then as the air expands it goes out the hole & doesn't crack the shell.)

If nobody knows how they're made, I guess I'll start experimenting. none

I know an old Thai lady who'd make eggs similar to what you're talking about. She gave some to my mom a few months ago and it was basically just boiled salty eggs... so maybe it's the same?

She would use fresh eggs and place it in salty water (basically plain water with salt, idk the ratio though), and let it sit for a month or so. She'd only boil them afterwards, before eating.

How do I fix an oversized draft e-mail problem that does not go away in mobile mode? The draft keeps returning no matter how many times I discard it. I use Gmail and I am currently using an iPad mini right now so I don't how to fix this problem. =__=

First of all try to remove the draft on another device and not on mobile mode. You will most likely succeed here. Then go back to your iPad and see if the problem's fixed there. If it isn't, it means only the iPad remembers the draft.

I don't know much anything about Apple products so someone else might know better how to fix the problem in this case, but my recommendation is to do the usual stuff of clearing cookies and to reset the email settings. Possibly disabling email entirely and again removing the draft from another device. But I'm not sure what kind of device iPad is, really, so I'm not sure if these last suggestions are practical.

I have a question about facebook... I've never had an account because I don't like revealing personal information in the Internet (and since I've got a unique name, anyone could just google it and find out) and I'm a little paranoid. But I found out there's a facebook group for my university, where some very useful information is posted, but I can't access it without logging in.
So, my question is: is it possible for me to create a fictional facebook account and join this group without revealing my name or personal information?
