1 - 8 posts/hr, lasts 6 hrs
2 - 8 posts/hr, lasts 12 hrs
3 - 4 posts/hr, no making new threads, lasts 24 hrs
4 - 48 hr ban
5 - permanent ban

If you see a person with 4 stars, then that's a 48 hour ban. If you see a person have 5 stars, that person is banned (Only shows stars for banned people under certain circumstances which I will not mention)

so basicly....

1 stars = you get 8 posts an hour and it lasts 6 hours
2 stars = 8 posts an hour, but it lasts 12 hours
3 stars = you get to post four times, cant make threads, and lasts a whole day...
am i right?

Oh, those are the limits.

1 - means you can only make 8 posts an hour, and this effect lasts for 6 hours
You should understand what 2 is now
3 also has a new thing where you cannot make any new threads

Correct, after 6 hrs, a 1 star warning will disappear.
Also, a 2 star warning, after 12 hours, will DISAPPEAR. It doesn't go back to a 1 star and then 0. Same for 3 and 4 stars (just different time intervals)

Btw, if you get any stars, you'll get an automatic pm saying so

Sounds like a good idea...but is the getting stars thing based on an admin des?
or is it based on something automatic?

btw, prolly already thought of this, but wouldn't this be better under the rules and such section?
or an announcement about it so everyone sees it....

Admins have to do the star thing manually. There's no good way to automate something like this that works every time in all situations.

As for an official announcement, I don't think it warrants one. This is just another way for us to enforce less spam. Most people won't be affected at all, although it's interesting to see exactly WHO has stars
