No.

If no one wants to discuss the series except for you, too bad. You can't just force other people to post

On every post, you notice the left side that has the person's avatar, status level, post date, and # of posts? If the person has star warnings, they'll appear right below the # of total posts the person has

Sorry lambs. I had a feeling that was a bad idea. Next time I will go with my gut feeling of "Don't Do It".

I have a question about scanning groups. I was looking at a couple series' that I read that haven't realeased in a while and I was wondering if anyone knows why they drop certain series'? Is it because they can't get raws? Or is it something like, they are short staffed? or something like that.

Usually, the series is licensed, or the the group itself is understaffed and is forced to just drop some series...Other times, the staff themselves loose interest in doing the project anymore (it isn't "fun" to scanlate it anymore)

I think short staffed or just bored with it, you must have seen some series started by one group and then stopped and continued by another

So I am assuming that the biggest problem that a scanlation group faces is licensing?(I hadn't even thought of that, thanks)

Well, some series you can tell they'll be licensed sooner or later. Some groups just avoid those kinds of series because they rather not have to drop it in the future. Other times, the group doesn't care about the fact that it's licensed (just look at all the Naruto/Bleach scanlators)

Thanks lambs.

Maybe I'll start my own group in the future so that I can stick it to the man (by scanning lots and lots of licensed manga).

EDIT: Wow I was looking around for BECK doujinshi, and I couldn't find any. Are there none?

i have a question.

ok so ya know when you go to the inbox, and there are the boxes next to the messages in the "not so new" section...well what do they do, couse there is'nt a delete option on the option bar....

Quoted for emphasis(sp?) since no one really answered me before....

And there is also the fact that when you click the top one that normally checks all the boxes under it for most things, it doesn't do anything cept that one.....

I have question regarding completed series in my reading list. Why is it that some series have the little notification of the latest chapter while others do not? Here's an image of my reading list with some examples of what I mean:

Completed series w/o counter: genshiken, strain, testarotho
Completed series w/ counter: Narutaru, Koi Kaze, Sakura no Uta (ODAWARA Hakone)

You have to update your list, if you haven't checked that you read those chapters it will continue to show that there are updates available.

Thanks, but I think the problem was that the release system tracks series by chapter and not by volume. So even if there was a complete series (and obviously more than 1 chapter released), if there were no chapter releases put into the system and just volume releases inputted (as with the series I mentioned without an update notice), the system won't put an update notice since it doesn't recognize the series as going past 1 chapter (despite being an x amount of volumes) and therefore up-to-date.
