Hey everyone this is my first ever post here in mangaupdate.
The reason why I use this site is to keep track of when new releases of my favourite mangas come out.
I can see that when add a manga to one of the reading lists there are option to add the chapter and volume we are at.
I find these very inconvinent and as such I just keep the latest volume on my manga directory to remind myself of what was the last chapter I read.
My suggestion which I think would really improve this site is just to add a button that automaticly sets the manga you are seing to the latest released released (as an alternative to the +10 chapters and 5 chapters).
Hope this gets considered

well you can use the "edit" button, takes about 5 sec.

there are also issues with releases like some chapters in-between that aren't being scanlated (e.g. Kamisama Hajimemashita).

there are also different ways of counting the cahpters, the "up-to-date" method (indicating the chapters already read) or the "next-to-read" one (indicatin the next chapter to read), so this function would also be depending its usefulness on each persons habits.

lastly you won't be actively using this button for series you are currently following (just because you keep up with the latest chapters anyway, as long as you don't have re-occuring memory loss), the only reason you would even have to lock a certain progress is when you are putting things on hold.

I really don't think that the trouble to implement this is worth it...

or excel
or ms word
