People, just take it as they say it is. If it says in the manga Haku is male then he is and that is that. It wont be the first time a character looks/acts wrong and it wont be the last.

I might've given this idea a bit more credibility if Haku were still alive; however, he is not. So, why should it matter?

People are taking all of this way too seriously. Effeminate characters in manga/anime are not new, and neither is androgyny, ESPECIALLY in Japan. (Just look at the Visual Kei scene and you'll understand.) As for acting feminine, so what? Yumichika of Bleach acts very feminine, but I haven't heard people creating theories in which he is female.

My opinion:

Haku said he was male. There is no evidence that definitively states that he wasn't; all this speculation is based on are how he acts and his face. Considering that the first can be written off as an extreme loyalty (or even just his personality; see Yumichika, who also has a beauty obsession), and the second isn't anything spectacular. Therefore, unless Kishimoto puts out a statement saying otherwise, Haku was male.

End of story. (At least for me.)

Also guys with a female face exist too, and if hel iked Zabuza, so what maybe he was gay?Nothing strange about that, gays exist, I thought that in the 21st century era we shouldn't be surprised if a man likes men and who likes cross dressing, I so see nothing strange with it. So I'll definatley believe he was a boy, even though I don't feel it's important.

I personally think that the guy who made the post that xombie linked has way too much time on his hands to be making a huge , long and well thought out post on something as trivial as Haku's true gender. Does it really matter? I'm just gonna say he's either transgendered or intersexual. So either way he's both female and male. If he was transgendered then he'd had balls and a penis but have a mind of a female (pre-op of course). If he was intersexual then he'd have both genitalia and is living off some magical jutsu that pumps estrogen into his system.
